On this site you can learn a technique to memorize the random placement of a number of symbols on a board.
You need to become a registered member in order to use this site, because you need to be able to return to a board. Join for free.
The technique presented here consists of three connected parts. The first part is that the color marking of the symbols is translated to the numbers. The second part is that each point on the board can be translated to a word, a so called coordinate-word, through an alphabetic coordinate system. And in the third part these coordinate-word are put into a memory-structure according to the numbers represented by the symbols.
The memory-structure can for example be a story which you create in you imagination. Another, more powerful, structure that you can use requires some preparation. The structure consists of a walk through a familiar environment, such as the town where you live. This structure is created once and then used over and over again. You associate the coordinate-words with landmarks along this walk.
When you have a good command of this technique you will only need a few minutes to memorize a board with twenty symbols, and to memorize one hundred symbols is not very demanding. It is much easier than you think!
